Godwin Tayapa is a foremost “Bush Geologist”. After completing his Masters degree and a sterling career in Information Technology he has been an active participant in the Nigeria Solid Minerals Sector for over 10 years as a founder of a number of Exploration and Mining concerns . He became involved in solid minerals in Nigeria after witnessing the vast potential of the sector. He is the founder of Haskalah Investment amongst a number of other assets and has acquired and traded other mining and exploration concessions

Godwin currently controls Haskalah Investment Ltd and holds a minor share in Kaynuwa Earth Resources Ltd which hold very promising exploration licenses for Lead, Zinc,copper, Graphite and Barites and he works very closely with the Nigerian National Raw Materials and Exploration Agency. Godwin played a very significant role in pushing for a mining act and a regulatory framework document for the industry. He realised legal certainty and enforceable property tights were key to attracting investment. This eventually came to fruition in 2008 when the mining & minerals act 2007 was finally passed.

He and his team have provided ex-officio advisory services to most Ministers of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development in Nigeria over the last 10 years to quietly shape policy and regulations with the ultimate aim of opening up the sector to international investors and competition. The long years of active exploration work on his portfolio has established him as an invaluable resource base with reference to solid minerals in Nigeria. His core strength is acquisitions of leases(winning properties only).

Godwin has lived and worked between the United Kingdom and Nigeria over the last 15 years and has been instrumental in his support and advocacy to the cadastre for the development of a Minerals and Mining Regulation document for the sector in Nigeria which resulted in its approval in May 2012. It is his firm intention to create a medium scale near producing asset which will provide investors with early cashflow and significant upside.
